Foreword

Across the world today, nations are seeking to implement effective strategic plans to upgrade and upskill its young men and women; helping to transform the unskilled and semi-skilled populations into a highly productive and skilful workforce that has good employment prospects.

While considerable research and literature has been published over the decades on how to address and overcome the deficiencies of core skills in the existing educational curriculum, the same cannot be said of actual learning and training materials that provide guidance to key stakeholders – policy makers, schools systems, training providers and trainers themselves – on how to integrate these core skills into education and training.

The key to these outcomes lies in having a solid foundation of national policies for continuous learning, training and development of knowledge and skills; the access and emphasis to training and re-education; the availability of effective training methodologies and courses; and finally, the abilities, knowledge and skills of trainers and training providers which are central to the success of high employability and wellbeing of a nation.

These strategies that bore an outcome of highly productive workforce that contributes to personal, family, and society wellbeing leading to achievements of the overall nation building objectives.

I look forward to welcome you to Genovasi Centre for Higher Learning (CHL) and wish you every success in your future careers and endeavors.

Thank you.

Welcome Address

Welcome to Genovasi Centre for Higher Learning (CHL).

Quality skills and knowledgeable workers are the key ingredients for employability and employment in the Age of Industrial Revolution 4.0 (IR4.0) and Artificial Intelligence (AI).

At Genovasi Centre for Higher Learning (CHL), we seek to address the needs and gaps of understanding what the core skills and knowledge are; what ways that these core skills can be addressed, delivered, attained and recognized; and how our graduates will be employed based on their core skills matching the needs and accepted standards of the international marketplace and global workforce.

These needs and gaps analysis was corroborated based on the studies done from all across the world; from countries such as Australia, China, Chile, India, Jamaica, Malawi and the Philippines besides Malaysia.

Therefore, the CHL curriculum are specifically designed to integrate the general and specific knowledge and skills; the technical and vocational training systems; and finally, the IT and IS practice and knowledge based on the Design Thinking philosophy that are key and central to the development of core skills meant for employability and employment in Malaysia and around the world.

These training and development resulted in producing quality and demand-driven knowledge and skillful young men and women graduates which are properly equipped to compete in the highly demanding, highly rewarding industry and economic sectors.

May I take this opportunity to welcome you and wishing you every success in our training and development courses at the Genovasi CHL.

Thank you.
